A semi-truck rollover temporarily closed a section of Interstate 5 in Portland, Oregon, on Friday afternoon, causing traffic delays as emergency crews responded to the scene and worked to clear the overturned commercial vehicle.
The crash occurred on the northbound I-5 on-ramp connecting to North Columbia Boulevard, prompting officials to shut down the ramp at approximately 3:30 p.m. to allow first responders to safely manage the incident.
Emergency personnel secured the area while recovery crews assessed the overturned truck and removed it from the roadway. The closure resulted in traffic disruptions for motorists traveling through the area as officials worked to restore normal traffic flow.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the rollover.
After several hours of cleanup and recovery operations, the northbound on-ramp was reopened at approximately 6:30 p.m. Friday. Drivers were advised to use caution as traffic returned to normal following the reopening.
